FlexHEAT Tape Kit
Low Voltage Heating System
TruHeat's FlexHEAT tape system is a unique low voltage in-floor heating system design to offer exceptional energy savings. What sets the FlexHEAT Tape system apart from other loose lay wire systems is our patented aluminum alloy heating tape. The tape is a miniscule 0.5 mm in thickness and comes in a variety of widths ranging from 6-12 cm (depending on the kit) size. Low voltage current is passed through the heating tape using a step down transformer which allows the heating tape to start working efficiently and effectively.
The FlexHEAT Tape system is ideal for any irregular shaped rooms because the heat tape is flexible enough to be installed in any direction. There are 7 different kit sizes to choose from with each kit covering various square footages which allows users to easily cover their desired area with usually one kit.

Features & Benefits

ULTRA LOW PROFILE
The heat tape of the FlexHEAT system has the thinnest profile compared to any electric floor heating system in the market. In fact, out patented aluminum alloy heat tape is only 0.5mm (>0.1 inch) in thickness. This means raising the floor height is never an issue when installing the heat tape under the flooring of your choice.

BETTER HEAT DISTRIBUTION & WIDER COVERAGE
FlexHEAT system's patented aluminum alloy heat tape covers a much larger portion of the floor to provide a better heat distribution compared to heating cable systems. The heat tape is also much wider than a typical heating cable which means fewer runs are required to cover the same area compared to the competition's system.

MINIMUM ENERGY CONSUMPTION
The FlexHEAT system utilizes low voltage to heat up the heating tape, therefore minimum energy is required for our patented heating element to start delivering the desired warmth. Additionally, since the FlexHEAT system covers a larger portion of the floor, the heat tape operates at a comfortable 28 – 30°C (82– 86°F) which translates to minimum energy consumption. While the thin heating cables require 12-15 Watts/SqFt to be effective, the FlexHEAT system only consumes 7 Watts/SqFt.

INSTANT HEAT TRANSFER
The fact, that the heating tape is so thin also means that the generated heat can easily be sent forth to the surrounding area, while in case of a traditional cables, the heat is partly ‘stuck’ within the heating element itself and leading to a high temperature gradient as shown in the image below.

FASTER & EASIER INSTALLATION
While cable based systems need to be buried deep into a cement layer to ensure they are safe for the user and the flooring, the FlexHEAT system is perfectly safe to be installed directly under all floor types. Often times, under floating floors such as laminate, LVT, engineered hardwood, the FlexHEAT system can be installed without the need for a cement layer saving you on installation costs.

Energy Cost Calculator
The system does not need to run 24 hours a day in order to keep the floor/room warm. Typically, it is ideal to have a running time of about 8 hours a day for the system. With TruHeat system's programmable thermostat the control is always in your hands on how long to keep the system on for.
