EZ-HEAT mats are available in 2 types of mats based on power consumption and each type is available in several convenient sizes. For new builds with low heat loss (homes built after 2005), we recommend the 7 watts/sqft system. And for older homes with higher heat loss, we recommend the 14 watts/sqft system and for .
To operate the system as a primary heat source, at least 65% - 80% of the floor must be covered with the heat mats.
